Lock In Squad changelog

What changed in each version of Lock In Squad, newest first. Version 2.1 reached the App Store on October 28, 2026 and Google Play on October 30, 2026. It renamed the app from Lock In to Lock In Squad and added friends, group lock-ins, schedules and a daily goal.

Entries before 2.1 are the iPhone app's App Store releases, back to the first one on November 12, 2025, and every App Store date is in US Eastern time.

Version 2.1.1

App Store: . Google Play: .

  • The gold lock now stands out when you pick your lock on the welcome screen.
  • On Google Play, this is the update that brings everything listed under 2.1.0.

Version 2.1.0

App Store: . Google Play: , in version 2.1.1.

Lock In is now Lock In Squad, and your friends can lock in with you.

Friends

  • Add friends by name, user ID or a link you share.
  • Start a group lock-in and follow the live standings of who is locked in and for how long. Its invite link works in any chat, and a friend without the app can open it, get the app, make a free account and join.
  • Keep a friend streak going on the focus days you both picked.
  • The weekly leaderboard ranks you and your friends by time locked in from Monday to Sunday, and each week's winner wears a crown all the next week.
  • Activity shows your friends' longer lock-ins, streak milestones and group wins, and you can like each one.

Schedules, goals and streaks

  • Set up to 5 schedules that block your apps at set times, such as weekdays from 9 AM to 5 PM, even with the app closed.
  • The person who starts a group lock-in can give it set times, and everyone who accepts them has their apps blocked at those times.
  • Pick your focus days, the only days your streak counts, and set a daily goal from 15 minutes up to 4 hours in the Your week card on the Block tab.
  • Share your streak, your week or a group win as a card made for stories.

Locking in

  • The hold on the Lock Out button now goes from 1 to 30 seconds. New accounts start at 5 seconds, and older accounts keep the hold they had.
  • Full-screen ads come less often: never in your first 3 lock-outs or after a lock-in under 30 seconds, at least 3 minutes apart, and then only every other time you end a stopwatch lock-in or quit a timer early.

Your lock and your account

  • Dress up your own lock with a body color, face, hat and top, and save up for new safes in the Shop.
  • Reminders come from your lock, in its own voice, and you can turn each kind off in Settings.
  • Home screen widgets show your lock with your streak or today's minutes.
  • Start as a guest with no account. When you make one later, your streak, minutes and blocked apps come with you.
  • Premium now belongs to your account and follows you to a new phone, with the Diamond safe and a badge next to your name.

On Android

  • Block the websites you pick in Chrome, Samsung Internet, Firefox, Edge, Brave, Opera, DuckDuckGo and Vivaldi while you're locked in or a scheduled block is on.
  • The Browsers row blocks every browser on your phone in one tap.
  • A new switch, Hide notifications from blocked apps, holds their notifications while your apps are blocked and shows them again after.
  • One "Locked in" notification shows your lock-in time.

On iPhone and iPad

  • Lock Screen widgets, and a Live Activity with your lock-in time.
  • Lock In Squad now runs full screen on iPad.
  • A lock-in keeps counting even if your iPhone closes the app.

Accessibility and fixes

  • Better VoiceOver and TalkBack labels on every screen, and higher contrast text.
  • Fixes for streaks that reset after a weekend, dark mode that turned itself off and choices that didn't save.
  • Security and stability fixes.
